Weibel Chess

chessWeibel Chess, sponsored by the PTO, has been an after-school activity since 1990.  Weibel Chess is a nationally renowned program due to winning two national championships (2010 and 2012) and qualifying players for World Championships in recent years. Weibel Chess has won various divisions at the State Championships since 1990. Weibel Chess has a unique and distinctive approach to teaching chess. The Weibel Chess way means that children learn to enjoy the game of chess in an academic atmosphere while having fun.  Our chess program is an after-school enrichment program, not merely recreational.

The Weibel Chess Club meets on Tuesday afternoons from 2:55 p.m. to 4:10 p.m.  The competitive Weibel Chess Team meets on Friday afternoons from 2:55 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
